Crisp Criticism - "Kingsman: The Secret Service", "Project Almanac", "Seventh Son"

by
Julien Faddoul

Kingsman: The Secret Service

A spy organization recruits an unrefined, but promising street kid into the agency's ultra-competitive training program just as a global threat emerges from a twisted tech genius.
All-purpose hateful, anti-American wallow disguised as a spy spoof with a big budget and kinetic violence. A movie this determined to offend everyone only ever comes off as immature.

Project Almanac

A group of teens discover secret plans of a time machine, and construct one. However, things start to get out of control.
Not unentertaining but incredibly lazy time travel film shot with the kind of first-person photography that has become nocuous.
