The 2014 Cinema Touch Awards - ACTOR

Julien Faddoul

5. Love is Strange – John Lithgow
For being one-half of the year's greatest couple: The incredible thing that he and Molina pull-off is that when separated, we sense, without dialogue or frontage, the other half missing.

4. Love is Strange – Alfred Molina
For being the other half: Molina's ethereal quality has long gone unrecognized.

3. Listen Up Philip – Jason Schwartzman
For so auspiciously conveying Philip's separation from the rest of the world that it seems effortless.

2. The Grand Budapest Hotel – Ralph Fiennes
For his omnipresent urbanity: his encapsulation of a Lubitsch-esque charm that no longer exists in cinematic acting is what makes his performance so remarkable.

1. Starred Up – Jack O’Connell
For taking on the year's most demanding role, showering it with risky choices and repaying in dividends.

Runner Up: Birdman (or The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance)Michael Keaton
