The 2012 Cinema Touch Awards - PRODUCTION DESIGN

by
Julien Faddoul

5. Anna Karenina – Sarah Greenwood

For creating a great piece of artifice. Had she dropped the ball, none of it would have worked.

4. Life of Pi – David Gropman

For a wonderful spectral of detailed atmosphere that we - with 3D - can inhabit.

3. The Master – David Crank, Jack Fisk

For giving such visual distinctiveness to a recognizable era and for not getting in the way of everything else.

2. Skyfall – Dennis Gassner

For delving into the fractured psyche of its hero, his boss and his adversary as well as the striking palette of 21st century designs.

1. Moonrise Kingdom – Adam Stockhausen

For such an assured and joyful feat of emotional and aesthetical architecture. Typical of the director's frenetic eye for detail, Mr Stockhausen's work proves incontestable.

Runner Up: Cloud Atlas – Hugh Bateup, Uli Hanisch
