The 2016 Cinema Touch Awards - SUPPORTING ACTRESS

by
Julien Faddoul

5. Green Room – Imogen Poots
For her enigmatic savvy. One gets the sense that Amber, despite her churlishness, is also thinking about others, including the audience.

4. 20th Century Women – Greta Gerwig
For her intrinsic impulses. Abbie might be her greatest creation so far but Greta's somehow kills it every time.

3. Indignation – Sarah Gadon
For her astonishing assuredness in her every action. She is somehow both the nuttiest yet most reasonable character in the piece.

2. Indignation – Linda Emond
For such a heartbreaking portrayal of a personal war lost. In spite of her sternness, she somehow projects love in every scene.

1. Certain Women – Lily Gladstone
For the greatest display of empathy in 2016. Although not in this register, her performance is a herculean achievement in undertaking.

Runner Up: The Lobster – Rachel Weisz
